Case study

Buddha Tooth Relic

Tang dynasty architecture over Chinatown, seen from above.

Overview

A Tang-styled temple, framed against its own neighbourhood.

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum sits at the heart of Chinatown on South Bridge Road, its design drawn from Tang dynasty architecture and shaped around the Buddhist Mandala. This promotional film uses aerial coverage to show what a street-level visit can't: the temple's full form, its rooftop details and its place within the district around it.

Creative focus

Reveal a familiar landmark from a new vantage point

Most visitors know the temple from the pavement outside. The creative focus here is the view only a drone can give — the symmetry of the roofline, the layered architecture, and the temple's relationship to the shophouses and streets of Chinatown around it.

Visual approach

  1. The temple in its district

Establishing shots place the temple within Chinatown, showing its scale against the surrounding streetscape.
  2. Roofline and form

Aerial passes trace the layered Tang dynasty roofline and the Mandala-inspired symmetry of the building.
  3. A closing descent

The film moves from open sky down towards street level, bringing the temple back into everyday scale.
