A Wing-in-Ground craft, filmed at speed on the water.

Overview

A new kind of coastal transport, captured in motion.

WidgetWorks builds the AirFish8, a Wing-in-Ground (WIG) craft designed for fast, sustainable coastal transport — skimming just above the water's surface rather than flying or sailing through it. That in-between motion is difficult to convey from the shore, so this film pairs low-altitude tracking with wider aerial views to show the craft doing what it's built for.

Creative focus

Show a craft that doesn't fit an existing category

The AirFish8 isn't quite a boat and isn't quite an aircraft, and the film's job is to make that clear without explaining it. The creative focus is speed and proximity to the water, framed by wider shots that place the craft in open coastal water.

Visual approach

  1. The craft on open water

Wide aerial shots establish the AirFish8 against the scale of the water around it.
  2. Low-altitude tracking

Close, fast-moving passes follow the craft at speed, keeping its proximity to the water surface in frame.
  3. A sense of motion

Shifting altitude and angle across the flight keep the sequence dynamic as the craft moves through open water.
